Light patterns on water postcard

I've long enjoyed David Hockney's pool paintings, so when I saw this pattern of light reflection on the water, I had to photograph it even at the risk of falling in. I leaned over as far as I could, my eye to the viewfinder of my film camera, to get the overhead perspective. Strong calves FTW!

Vintage Curved Colonnade photograph

A curved colonnade sweeps across the foreground of the original black and white photograph leading to a pavilion with a performance space in the background. The double row of white Corinthian columns support a roof which curves from right to left and back to right again.

Photographed from a low angle outside the structure, the ceiling and its support beams are visible. In the upper right corner of the frame, a dark cluster of leafy vines hang. The leaves frame the decorative arch of the stage in the background. On the left side of frame, a few trees and bushes can be seen in the distance beyond the architecture.

The film grain gives the photo a vintage look.
